Time

I am about to have more time! I can physically feel my shoulders sinking back into their normal place.

The new owner of Spell It With Style is Cassie, my cousin's wife. She is coming next weekend to pick up all the stuff. Today I worked on the last of my orders. It's bittersweet. Spell It With Style was my idea so it's hard to let it go. I feel proud of what I did in my 3 years. I worked my butt off.  Now I get to sit back, like a grandparent and watch it grow even more, without any responsibility!

I am ready to be "present" when I am home with Scott and the kids. Ready to enjoy our family time instead of thinking about all the orders I need to do once the kids are in bed. This is going to be a wonderful change!

Photo session

For Christmas, Kathryn & Noel (Scott's sister and our brother in law) gave us a photo session with a professional photographer. So cool!!! We have never had professional pictures taken before. We met up with the photographer in a neat park area in downtown Houston. I took these pictures with my phone.

I can't wait to see the real pictures!!!

New job

I found out Thursday that I have a new job! I am going to be a part time secretary less than part time ministry assistant at our church....which means I will be assisting 3 of the pastors. I  am very excited and thankful for this opportunity. I love my church so spending more time there is a blessing. I will work Monday-Friday, 25 hours a week. The hours are amazing and allow me to still be "Mom". I wasn't necessarily searching for a new job. This was one of those God things and I've had such a sense of peace blanketing this change. I start Monday!

More pictures from Christmas:
Nana and Pop

Pop got the kids their first BB guns!!
And Eric got a basket ball goal....wish it would stop raining so we could use it!

Christmas Dinner at Nana and Pop's House
Notice that Eric has a roll. He pretty much survives on bread, apples, and peanut butter.
I was a picky eater as a child, but did eat more foods than he eats. My parents pretty much ignored my picky eating and never forced me to try things or made me finish my plate. (only child!!)I am using the same approach with Eric. One day he will realize (as I did) that he loves all kinds of foods.
This picture will always make me laugh. Ella said the blessing and did such a great job.
This is typical Eric...Ella is being serious and mature while Eric is thinking, "Oh brother. Here she goes again. When will it end?"

This picture taken by my dad reminds me of my Grandad (my dad's dad).  When I was a child, the extended family would meet at Lupe's (I called it Lupe's Poopies) on Sundays after church to celebrate birthdays. Sometime during the lunch, Grandad would always stand up and take a picture of us at the table. I bet he had 50 different pictures of our Lupe Poopies lunches.

I was so proud of both kids trying out their guns and I know Pop was thrilled.
